Founded in 1932, Lumbermen's is a fourth-generation family-owned and operated company that emerged as a Depression Era success story in the growing city of Omaha, Nebraska.
With customer relationships and quality service as its prime commodities, the business took part in the busy regional trade center activities of the day. The company's customers were local lumber yards in nearby communities, hence the name "Lumbermen's Supply." Though the name might suggest otherwise, lumber was not in the product offering. Today we employ approximately sixty people who represent the strong values and work ethic of the Midwest.
Over the years we have furnished materials for many of Omaha's major construction projects. We have furnished face brick for the Eppley Airport, The Cat House at the Henry Doorly Zoo, Bishop Clarkson Hospital, the Southroads, Crossroads, and Westroads Shopping Malls, the Peter Kiewit Conference Center, and Chamber of Commerce Building. Some of the projects for which we have supplied Cultured Stone include most of the exteriors of the Henry Doorly Zoo exhibits and the Regency Shopping Center.
In 2000, we decided to spread our wings, and our storefronts, by opening the Fireplace & Stone Center in Urbandale, Iowa, and in 2001, the Hearth & Home of Grand Island, Nebraska. 2006 begins the launch of Hearth & Home of Lincoln, Nebraska. Our core groups of clients include homebuilders, commercial masons, landscapers, the erosion control/civil engineering fields, and the retail public. We also believe strongly in promoting our products and their applications to the architectural and engineering communities.
As in 1932, our primary goal continues to be to provide quality service and quality product to our customers, to promote comfortable living, and bring quality to life.
